Monae James Boutique Review
From The Vault- Originally posted December 20th, 2017
Even before I started blogging, I have always been on the lookout for brands that cater to my body type. It really hit me how limited the selection was for curvy or plus-sized women when I went bra shopping not long ago. While I was able to find some bras in my size, they are all the same color. And to me, it’s kind of disappointing that it is that way.
Today though, I am really happy to introduce a new brand to you. Monae James Boutique sells clothing for women like me. I found them through the Collabor8 app which you can download here. (The App is available for Apple and Andriod as far as I know). It helps connect influencers to brands and companies that are looking for people to work with. Monae James Boutique sent me a dress for my review. I’ll be sharing my thoughts with you today.
I typically wear a 2x as a general size. But I got this dress in a 3x because I don’t like tight-fitting clothing. I’m actually glad that I did that because it fits perfectly.
The dress is made up of a polyester and spandex material. It does stretch and I love that it is really flowy.
The temperature stayed around the mid-40’s today, so I paired this dress with some burgundy tights and one of my favorite sweaters. I will say that this dress is extremely versatile. It is the right type of color and material that can be worn this time of year. But I can also see myself wearing it in the Spring/Summer with a pair of sandals.
My Final Thoughts
Do I recommend this dress? I do, 100%. I have worn it all day. I even wore it to physical therapy earlier. Not only is it cute, but it is super comfortable. Should you look up Monae James Boutique? Definitely, there are other dresses that I have my eye on. I think it’s wonderful that they cater to curvy women. I’m just happy that I have been given the chance to do this review.
Let me know what you think about this review. Would this dress be something you would wear? If you are a curvy girl like me, do you also have issues finding stylish clothes? And lastly, if you know of any other brands or shops that cater to plus-sizes ladies let me know! I would love to check them out.
